When I moved to Marseille for six months, I didn’t expect cheese to take over my life. Honestly, I hadn’t really eaten Camembert before. It was just cheese, right? Wrong. In France, cheese is basically a lifestyle.
I remember my first Camembert picnic: sitting on a blanket in the park, sun on my face, a crusty baguette in one hand and a creamy wheel of Camembert in the other. I thought, “Wow… this is dangerously good.” After that, I was hooked.
At some point, I realised this cheese obsession could be fun – and a little ridiculous. It reminded me of our Surströmming socks, which are hilarious and playful – they don’t smell at first, but if you wear them long enough, they might pick up a certain… aroma.
So why not turn another favourite into something wearable? And that’s how the Camembert Cheese Socks were born: silly, cheesy, and guaranteed to make your feet a little happier.
Sometimes the best ideas come from the weirdest cravings.
